General Info

Tucked along Beamish Street, Damee Chaowei Restaurant Campsie is one of those places that quietly builds a loyal following. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere feels relaxed and welcoming-perfect whether you’re dropping by for a quick lunch or settling in for a full dinner with friends.

The menu leans into comforting, flavor-packed dishes that highlight traditional techniques. One standout that instantly caught my attention was the Braised Pork Intestine Combo. It’s rich, deeply savory, and surprisingly well-balanced, with textures that feel indulgent without being overwhelming. On the lighter side, the Shredded Seaweed with Cold Sauce offers a refreshing contrast. It’s crisp, slightly tangy, and works beautifully as a starter or side dish to cleanse the palate between bites.

Another must-try is the 潮汕著名 纯牛肉丸. These beef balls are incredibly springy and flavorful, showcasing a level of craftsmanship that’s hard to miss. Each bite feels deliberate, as if the kitchen takes real pride in getting the details just right. It’s the kind of dish you remember long after you leave.

What makes this Campsie location stand out isn’t just the food-it’s the overall experience. The dine-in setup is comfortable and straightforward, and the table service is attentive without being intrusive. Staff are quick to guide you through the menu if you’re unsure what to order, which makes the whole visit feel easy and enjoyable. Whether you’re visiting for lunch or dinner, the pacing of service keeps things smooth and stress-free.

There’s also a subtle charm in how the restaurant balances hearty mains with lighter options and even a touch of dessert to round things off. It gives you flexibility depending on your mood, whether you’re in for a full feast or just a casual meal.

From what I experienced, this spot fits right into the local dining scene while still offering something a bit special. It’s the kind of place people return to-not just for the dishes, but for the consistency, the welcoming vibe, and the feeling that you’ve found a reliable go-to in Campsie.

What customers say?

“ Stopped by for a quick bite as the sight of the braised pork hock & feet was making me hungry! Ordered rice with braised pork feet, pork belly, intestines and tendon with pickles and complimentary soup. The standout was the braised pork feet - so soft, glutinous and tasty! The tendon was some parts chewy and other parts soft. Pork belly & intestines were ok. Noticed a few customers came in to buy braised pork cheek for takeaway so maybe try this next time. The sweetened soy milk in the pouch for $2 was a great bargain. The sweet silky tofu dessert was nice as well. ”

“ Perfect! and, tastiest source of collagen you will find in Sydney ”

- Tom Law -

“ Great tasting and refreshing soy bean drink that is not too sweet and affordable! The tofu-fa (dessert) with ginger syrup is also very fresh and delicious! We will definitely come back and try the other flavours! ”

- Terence Ha -

“ Arrived 9am. Not many options were ready. Lady told me they make soup first and start cooking variety of meat in order. So if you want a choice, suggest going after 9:30 am Came back at 9:10 am and got half kg of pork hook and beef rice combo. The pork hook just came out from pot. It was so tender, juicy, amazing. Beef & tendon with rice combo was awesome, too. The potion was huge, and the meat was generous, with only $15.8. The cashier lady was so kind and helpful. Prep bench was clean and tidy. She used gloves while handling the food. I definitely gonna go back there to try duck and chicken next time. ”

- S Key -

“ The black soybean milk ($3.5 for a pouch) is decent but could be thicker/richer in flavour. Lots of tofu products and Chaozhou snacks that look good - keen to try more. ”

- Sharron X -

“ They don’t have proper plate and cutlery except for the soup bowl. The duck is nicer, I found the pork hock a bit salty. The seaweed salad is not too crunchy. I love the soy pudding with ginger syrup. ”

- My Nguyen -

“ Great place for steamed rice rolls, freshly made to order, loaded with ingredients and super affordable! It starts from $7, but we got a loaded one for about $15 which was a meal. Decent sized menu with things to try next time too! ”

- Christopher Tran -

“ The beef shank is fantastic here. The steamed rice rolls are also amazing but a little salty for my taste. Fresh home made soy milk without additives is the best. ”
